For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, have you ever heard of Nirvana? Probably so. Their former lead singer, Kurt Cobain, wanted the Fender Custom shop to build a guitar for himself that was part Jaguar, part Mustang. But I guess it was either(a.) never put into production or(b.)never caught on with the public. You would think that Nirvana fans would buy it. If you know what I'm talking about, please respond!!!

hopefully youre joking..
Yes we are all familiar with the jagstang..
kurt for the most part played mustangs modified with a humbucker in back..
he submitted a drawing to fender to build him a mustang/jaguar hybrid guitar..
Image
he only played it a handful of times, possible changes were going to be made, but he was murdered before that happended..
here it is, this is one of my favorite guitars

kurt played mustangs, jaguars, strats, & hi fliers..

it never caught because the production version was junk from what ive heard... Kurt stated in most interviews that he hated it when the topic came up... its an ugly little bugger for sure, and personally i prefer its parents 8)

The Jagstang was doomed when Cobain said that he hated it and I must say that I concur.

go look at the live footage, he mainly played a mustang live..
jagstang is a straight novelty/collector guitar..
most players complain and hate it..

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, to be sure. Speaking for myself, I find the Jag-Stang so unspeakably ugly it makes me want to scream.

But if you like it, who am I to judge?

I like the jagstang im used to odd shaped guitars and i like the color on the sonic blue jagstangs. I just can not afford to pay 600 dollars for a guitar that would get stuck in a case a looked at becuase i cant play guitar very well.
