I have never seen a fender with that kind of trust rod adjustment.

I think its an after market neck with decals added

The one's I've seen had different tuners on them, just standard Fender Tuners. Those tuners look like ones that come on a lot of fakes.

I see it has a Seymour Duncan p/up at the bridge.

If the guitar is 'genuine' then this must be an after market upgrade.

To the best of my knowledge, the only stock Toronado with Seymour Duncans as standard, is the last model, the one I have - the Korean GT HH Toronado. The bridge p/up is a SH14 Custom Custom and the neck p/up is a SH1 (or '59 as it's usually called).

Needless to say, the Duncans smoke the Fender Atomics, but most players would still rather have the US or Mexican model..

The model you have represents the body style from 98-02, and They were made in mexico, the usa ones were made with the 2nd generation models. I think he took a USA neck and put it on the mexican body. Your body color is rare too. If anyone is looking to Purchase one I have a Candy Apple Red one from 1999 that is mint I am looking to get rid of . You can e-mail me at theendofacircle@yahoo.com
