Wondering if anyone can help or have any suggestions for me as I am attempting to switch out my stock pickups with Seymour Duncan 59s and pearly gates pickups.
The Toronado deluxe pickguard has 1 screw hole on the top of the humbucker which fits fine, but the 2 screw holes to connect the the bottom of the pickup are evenly spaced just enough to cause a problem when switching them out.

My question: Is there anyway to install the pickup without having to drill a hole through the pickguard?

I would think that there would probably be some kind of adapter out there that I could use to connect to the bottom bracket of the new pickups but after scouring the internet, I have yet to find any such device or any helpful information on a project such as this.

Please help if you have any advice :?

There isn't one. A competent tech can make one for you (as can a metal shop) but in the final analysis, most people simply concede to drilling that third hole as it is infinitely cheaper, even of course, to that of a custom made pickguard, and the least complicated way to go.

Thanks for the advice! I went ahead and drilled the extra hole in the pickguard like you suggested and now have the pickups installed into the pickguard.
Now onto the soldering...
