The Swinger (aka Musiclander) is definitely among the worst guitars CBS ever produced. Cheap Trick's Rick Nielsen owns one in his collection.

Rick doesn't only loves Swingers. He's a huge fan of those peculiar Custom Mavericks, especially the Fiesta Red models with the matching headstock and the 3-ply mint pickguard.

The Custom/Maverick was essentially a 6-string Electric XII with a Mustang bridge tailpiece.

PS: these guitars are not mine.

Just my opinion, but that thing is extremely ugly.

I've never seen one of those Maverick's in the flesh, but as ugly as they are I wouldn't mind getting one as I am interested in Fender Electric XII'x. The Electric XII model didn't sell that well and they had a lot of necks, bodies, and other parts left at the factory, so they cut the bodies down, altered the headstocks and made the Maverick and the Fender Custom out of the parts.

The Maverick/Custom came stock with a 3-tone sunburst finish and a tortoise pickguard. I've got a trouble to find a couple of pictures from those ultra-rare Fiesta Red models with the matching headstock and the 3-ply aged mint pickguard.

Not sure if Rick Nielsen owns this guitar any more. 8)

The way it looks...everyone has a problem with this axe trying to find pictures! One tends to ask why this is important?

wouldn't be authentic. these are made from bass VI bodies, iirc.
