Nice looking guitar--of course it's similar in appearance to mine--so who am I to say otherwise? :D

But yeah--nice guitar.
Here's mine, again. (A 1978)

Thanks.

I prefer rosewood boards, but maple looks good on this finish too.

Other than that & the knobs (Fender switched to the Strat style at some point in the late 70's) they look pretty close.

From the sounds of things mine is more dinged up--mostly on the sides & back.

I was puttin on some new strings came across a problem. I get a heavy rattle one my 6E string. And my 1E gets a weird ring. I'm sure I need to take to a tech but I'm funny about that. Anybody have some setup ideas options??

My Mustang was set up when I bought it, and you know what?

I've never had to adjust it.
So I don't know what I can say as far as advice.

Have you changed string gauges?

I do live in a fairly stable climate though--that might make a difference.

yeah i up'd the gauges 9 to a 10..it had a little rattle before but not as bad. i know electrics have a little rattle..im sure it needs tech to look at, its still playable, nothing to major. i havent played in a while either.

All original. The previous owner had put a lil 59n in the bridge for some reason. stupid. i took it out and put the stock fender single coil and... it sounds like an old guitar. In a very good way! weak $@! 5-6k single coils. I'm loving it.

A seventy-six foot Mustang? Where the hell do you get strings for that thing?

Give it back to the Hard Rock Cafe you stole it from...

That's the Seattle one?
(I guess that might make sense with Cobain and all.)
I need to make a trip there and see that for myself, as a Mustang owner.
