I have one in black but it has faded to a deep purple, weird. I love the 70's thinner necks and smaller ratios. Mine is a maple neck. It's actually for sale on CL but no buyer so far, oh well, I'm in no hurry of selling it, I play it often.

Yes post a picture.

I have a 78 Mustang (Sunburst) and I love it.

It's a lot of fun, and great for learning tricky stuff on, due to the shorter scale.

thats awesome looking! i bet its fun to play. i found a Daphene Blue MIJ stang at my local music store, so i put it on hold and put my USA strat on craigslist lol. i want a white one, but blue is alright. iv been searching for 'my' mustang for a while now. just cant find it.

im thinking about getting the blue one and just getting an olympic white body from warmoth, adding a humbucker, gett a custom pickguard and try my best to lock down the bridge.

The tremolo bridge system is NOT a good concept. You definitely cannot dive on that bar.

That looks like the same colour as the one I didn't buy when I got mine.
I keep seeing it for sale at different stores over the years--somewhere early along the way one of its owners replaced the tone pot with a switch.

I have no idea what it does.

As with chambers23 I don't want to do dives--I got that out of my system years ago.
I love the Vibrato on the Mustang (And it is actually correctly called that right on the plate below the tailpiece.)

It's subtle and stays in tune well.

You can use the bar or the heel of your hand and add some nice subtle touches.

I don't do anything intentional, I've just never had any tuning problems, but I also don't normally go crazy with it.

But if I do--it stays in tune.

That pretty vintage one. Why are you feel it a shame?
Old is gold and flowing through it is nothing, the music.
