I got a white Fender HM from a pawn shop which is in almost perfect condition for $250, I thought I got a good deal. But besides HM standing for Heavy Metal thats all I know. So can anyone enlighten me?

I was just wanting to get anything anybody knows. I know that HM stands for heavy metal and that it was only produced for a few years.

I'm not familiar with the model (pictures would be nice) but sounds like a bargain. The once hated Fender Performer is as rare as hell now and command good money.

Fender made Hm Strats from 1988-92 in Japan and USA. Awesome guitars, lots of high quality components in stock form(DiMarzio pickups, Kahler trem, 24 fret neck with sculpted heel access). Sounds like you got an awesome deal.
