Just got a used '08 MIM Jazzmaster. I am new to this style of Fender but love it just the same.

The thing I noticed first about this particular Jazzmaster was even after a setup with '10's the guitar had a great deal of height to it. The dealer said that thats the way Jazzmasters are (still looking to see if thats true).

Secondly acoustically the guitar buzzed especially at the A string and down to the high E. While plugged in there's no buzz sound of it coming from the strings through the amp.

My question is and please if you have heard this before be enlighten me cause if I can't find the answer here I will search every tech in my town to get this guitar perfect.

Would slapping 11's on this guitar provide less buzz (read that it can help), and is there any way that the neck on this is guitar is bowed, warped etc. And lastly can the string height be as low as say a strat (all my strats are pretty low without any buzz).

Any info will aid me to have a killer Jazzmaster.
