Before you buy that body, read this:

Short-scale Mustangs (22-inch) haven't been made in a very long time and are extremely rare, but since you're buying a vintage body it's possible you might have one. The best recommendation I can make is to compare your body with a current re-issue Mustang and see how they jive up as far as the distance from the edge of the neck pocket to the mounting holes at the bridge. If they measure the same then your body was intended to be used with the standard length (24-inch) neck. Thus, you can use a neck from a Mustang (vintage or re-issue) or possibly a Jaguar.

it will fit.

you might have some issues with a japan neck radius being 7.25 and the mexican one being 9.5

i don't think the tuneomatic on the mexican jag has individual string height adjustment like a stock japan bridge does
