I'd love to the 3 Jag pup model reissued,I really didn't go for the humbucker equipped model but the single coil models would sound great.

BN correct me if i am saying this wrong but arent the cyclones (I think the first one) was cheaper than a stang? So if there were similarities then it would just be a downgraded stang? So it is kinda like what they did back in the '60s with the musicmaster and duo sonic.?

Downgrade isn't entirely accurate, it was more a lateral model. The pickups were hotter than tthe Mustangs. and that is the ONLY reason I don't have a Mustang.

But mind you.....I am not saying one is better than the other. I just prefer my Cylone to a Mustang, as the switches get in my way when I strum.

They were around the same price as the first reissued Mustangs when they first came out in '97. I know the brief run of US Cyclones only ran till 2001 were a bit pricier. Then the average price of the Mustang rose to $599-$699, and the Cylone averaged around $499-$599. The Cyclone body is styled after the Mustang but with a different spec's. The Cyclone body is a quarter of an inch thicker than the Mustang body and is made of poplar, whereas contemporary Mustang reissues were made of basswood.
The DuoSonic (Squier Reissue also has the same shape as the Cyclone but is not as thick. These are made of Basswood.
So you could pretty much mod them all to what you like.

I have a 2006 cyclone 2. I love that guitar. But I don't think they should bring them back because I feel more exclusive since they don't make them anymore :) But they are a great quality guitar, and if I didn't own one, I would say bring them back. lol

I do not believe they will ever bring back a guitar that was just discontinued.

They brought back the stang and jaguar and jazzmaster so why not bring the cyclone back in 5+ years
