Yeah, the Jag i'm planning to get is a £500 CIJ...it was extremely nice when I played it, I would say it rivals an American Strat. But thats just my opinion.

The jag I have is CIJ. I can't really say I have any big complaints about it. It was less than half the price of the American Jaguar. I haven't played one of those so I can't compare the two. Everyone that plays mine says its an awsome guitar. It really is.

Oh. Thats cool. How much was your jag if you dont mind me asking.
The mustang i want is $700.

that's about how much i paid for my CIJ jaguar. the quality really is top-notch. much better than mexican made.
you can order mustangs directly from japan for less that $700.

Yeah thats what im gonna do. I talked to my local guitar dealer about it a few days ago and he said it would be $702 exact :D

In the early 90's I saved up $900 to buy a '68 Jazzmaster in fiesta red but when I got to the store they had just gotten in the first MIJ reissue Jaguar in Candy apple red for only $700. After comparing them I bought the reissue and have never been sorry. It is like a replica not a reissue...it even has all the copper plates in the control cavities, a beautiful finish with matching headstock, and plays like a dream. I am known for playing this guitar on stage and wouldn't be without it now. If you have any doubts about the MIJ reissues don't. I have played the American reissue and don't see how its worth almost double the price.

In 1972 my parents bought me a red competition mustang. I played this guitar for nearly 10 years and then, like an idiot, traded it. Two months ago i decided to purchase a 65 reissue Mustang and I am thrilled I did. It's like meeting a freind you haven't seen in over 30 years and had the feeling you saw her just yesterday. What a great guitar!

Really?! I had to sell my special order '71 sunburst 3 years later for college money. Selling it has haunted me for 35 years. Do the RI's sound the same as the originals? I've never had the opportunity to play one.

I had an original blue 69 mustang for close to 35 yrs...nice small scale and easy to play as well....if I was to buy another one I would look into the possibility of upgrading the pups...other than that mine did not give an ounce of trouble thru all those yrs...
