Yeah. Im just a little worried on the construction on it since all reissues are Japanese made. I heard that the wiring on the pickups are too loose and that the strap buttons are a little wobbly too.

The wiring seems to be holding up just fine and I can't really say whether or not the strap buttons come loose because I put a Cliplok strap on. The workmanship seems very good overall though.

The jag I have is CIJ. I can't really say I have any big complaints about it. It was less than half the price of the American Jaguar. I haven't played one of those so I can't compare the two. Everyone that plays mine says its an awsome guitar. It really is.

About three years ago Fender released a Mustang in red and blue with a Competition stripe...then promptly deleted it from the catalogue a year later. That was one good-looking guitar. Anyone got one? Photo? :o)

Like an acoustic guitar

Slight exaggeration, :D but if you're looking for killer sustain you should probably be looking elsewhere. The lack of sustain hasn't really been an issue for me though.

that's about how much i paid for my CIJ jaguar. the quality really is top-notch. much better than mexican made.
you can order mustangs directly from japan for less that $700.

The mustang is definitely a cool guitar, the body is a little small but still comfortable. The reissue from 2002 had competetition stripes and an alder body, a great quality guitar (y not if it was coming out of japan). But i was disapointed with the 65 reissue, it is made out of poplar. I would have prefered basswood like on the 69 reissues, or the special out of japan that was made of ash. Its to bad that guitar was only available to the japanese market. cheers :D :D

Dude! Are you serious? CiJ build quality rivals MiA, I can assure you.
