Hi to all :)

I have in my collection in New Zealand a '67 Coronado XII. Sunburst colour and seems to be fairly stock standard. Cereal number is 181591 Only difference is, she has the word 'SPECIAL' engraved on the back of the headstock. Can anyone shed any light on why this would be there please? A link to view pictures of this guitar is as follows;

Thanks :)

Yes . . . SPECIAL was stamped into the back of the headstock and usually also into the heel or on the back of the body below the neck plate to indicate that the guitar was either a dealer sample or given to an artist.

In actual fact it is not uncommon to see Coronado XII's and Fender Electric XII's with these stamps on them, but it is a nice thing to have it on your guitar.
