Hello! First time poster here. I did try a search but I was unsuccessful or I couldn't get the search terms right.

I am trying to determine which other Fender neck profile/shape would be closest to that of my '81 Bullet. I'm really concerned with matching the shape more than matching the fretboard radius. Mine has the Tele headstock with the star & 1 and a maple fretboard if that is helpful.

I don't have a good pic of the neck and the guitar is actually in the shop at the moment. Here is a pic that shows the body if that is helpful.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Edit: I now think it's a leftover 1981 neck on a guitar built in 1982.

My Bullet is out of the shop but now my computer with photo editing software is down. Adding a low quality mobile phone pic of the headstock.

I think I've found enough info to answer my own question! The early 80's Bullet necks are equivalent to a Telecaster neck from the same era. They took some measurements of mine at the shop so, I'll post them in case anyone is interested.

Oval C shape .810" at the 1st fret.
648 mm scale.
7.5" radius on fingerboard.
1 5/8" at nut.
2 1/32" at 12th fret.
2 3/16" at end of neck (21st fret).
Neck pocket 3" long.
Neck/fingerboard thickness at 1st fret .807", .860" at 12th fret.

Hey JamesPaul: Do the earliest Squier Bullets (1983-84 SQ series) also have a 7.5" radius?
Thanks.
