As we know the Jazzmaster was released in 1958, 2008 will be 50 years of the Jazzmaster. Do you think fender will release any limited edition models, or possibly limited edition finishes with a matching headstock or maybe even a new Jazzmaster model???

If they do I hope it isn't a '58 reissue. I'd like to see a new Jazzer with a Mustang bridge or similar redesign to eliminate that problem. Personally, I liked the late '60s/early '70s block markers instead of the dots. Would like to see them come back.

I agree! The original bridge was a poor design. The block markers are more attractive than plain dots.
Here is a pic I took at an American Analog Set show a few years ago. What a great gold Jazzmaster... (with block markers!)

They should do a locking tune-o-matic roller bridge with a comfortable radius.

Sustains AND works with the vibrato.

Or just import that japanese EMG jaguar. Nutsauce'll take care of the other problems.

Yeah the necks a little stiff on those. The sound is alright. The current productino model is also shortscale which may or may not be a good thing depending on your own personal preference. It is a budget model but they look cool.

Has anyone seen the J Mascis model in any stores/ own one? My local guitar shop (authorized Fender dealer) has had 2 on order since the 'release' of this model last year. They have yet to get one in, or get any word on when it may get to them. Any help would be superb.
