So during practice today me and my band were doing a song where I normally but the guitar next to the amp for feedback, but today I went overboard. While I was doing that I broke off the rhythm/lead switch. For those who don't know what that is, here's a picture of what it should look like.

and this is what mine looks like

So yeah it's pretty messed up.

As you can see the plastic actually snapped, so I can't just put it back on, and super gluing it is too risky. I'll most likely have to got a whole new rhythm circuit and put it in there. The problem is I suck with electronics, so what should I do about this?

Easy.
You need the right replacement switch. I guess have a browse on Fender's parts list on their site, see if they sell them... and if not then go search online parts stores like Allparts. It's going to be a very very simple repair, but if you can't solder then take it to your local fender dealer to do it. Once you take the scratchplate off a JM too it can get fiddly. You have to be careful putting it back on to make sure the pickup cables go down into the routing and don't get squished between the face of the guitar and the pickguard, basically replace it very carefully the way it came off and make sure you don't squash any electrics. Ah, it's not that hard actually. And replacing the switch is a two wire job. If you solder it's a cinch.
Hope you were getting killer feedback!

Here's a replacement switch, and a choice of three different online stores:

one store:
http://www.acmeguitarworks.com/Switch_Switchcraft_Slide_Ja_P68C10.cfm

another store:
http://www.allparts.com/On-On-Slide-Switch-p/ep-0260-023.htm

and another:
http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Electronics,_pickups/Components:_Switches_and_knobs/Switchcraft_Slide_Switches.html

As previously mentioned, this is a minor inconvenience. If you provide the part, a tech shouldn't charge you more than $30 to swap it out for you. Good luck! 8)
