I have a Japaneese Jag and the tremelo lock button does not work. I had a $@! Jazzmaster and the same thing happened to it. What is wrong with these?

The jagmaster is a pretty cool guitar. I saw a silver sparkle one in a pawn shop for 200 bucks. A little pricey since you can get a brand new one for 50 bucks more. The HH is a nice guitar. Its just like the regular cij jaguar but it just has different pickups. Its got the matching headstock and everything. You can always swap those pickups out. Thats what I'm gonna do.

but im gonna get a jagmaster it looks just like the jaguar and is only 249.99.
hmm, I'd think long and hard about that choice! I played a Jagmaster, just out of curiosity, and it felt just like a really cheap guitar, which it is! A CIJ Jaguar might cost more but it feels so good to play!

Bandsubstance... the trem lock on my CIJ Jag works fine. Hell, it didn't even need adjusting out of the box. At the risk of offending, are you sure you know how it is meant to work? Many people don't realise what it's really for and how it works. Forgive me if I'm making the wrong assumption in your case but it is a common mistake with the Jag/Jazz trem lock.

Yeah the jagmaster is a pretty cheap guitar, but it does look cool.

I was thinking about the pickups for the regular and the HH jag. I saw someone who took an HH and fitted it with single coil pickups like the regular Jaguar has. I was wondering if the extra space leftover from where the humbuckers were would make any difference in the sound.

It seems like maybe it would. I was planning on just upgrading the humbuckers in my HH and adding a switch that would let me just use one of the coils in the humbuckers so it would be a single coil sound. I'm still not sure how that would sound in comparison to a regular Jaguar.

I don’t think it looks like a Jaguar.

the jagm doesn't seem worth it. just save up a few extra bucks and buy a cij or used REAL jag. that's just my opinion though.
