Aside from rarely/never popping up on Ebay, does anyone have any idea where I could get a set of Gold Jaguar hardware for an Am Vintage? Additionally, if I can't find it, does anyone have any experience getting hardware plated?

This is a little "project" I'm working on... lol.

They sell the control covers and plates, but not in gold unfortunately. I can get a neck plate, tuners, and screws in gold fairly easily, and I can ask them about special order gold plate control covers. The big problem is going to be the bridge... if it doesn't have that all-important "Fender" logo on it, then it's no good to me. :(

So, no luck there. :(

Keep watching ebay. Occasionally somebody will have disassembled one of those MIJ Blonde Jaguars or Jazzmasters and try to sell the parts. :?

Yeah... That looks like my only hope.

I'm trying to recreate the Candy Apple Red jaguar on some old Fender literature, and I've always been taken by the gold hardware. lol. I'm a bit "off".

Anyway, I'm hoping for some old vintage hardware to turn up, or I'll just have to see about plating some American Vintage series hardware I guess.
