I have a Fender Sonoran ac / ele like the one Toby Keith Played in the ford commericial. I am having problems with the pickup eq. The big E string is Bangin loud, A string loud, D softer, G almost not there, B louder, and bottom E loud. Any suggestions on what could be wrong and how to fix. Ya I know Its a Ford, Heard it from the guys in the band already. It was a gift from the mother in law. What can u say, got to love em???

It could be an issue with the strings in how they are sitting in the saddle, which is mounted over the contact for the preamp. I was told by the luthier that fixed my A/E Fender that the plastic saddles were pretty cheap and can have this kind of issue. He put a "bone" saddle and nut on mine which helped with the Montara's old preamp temporarily. Eventually the preamp died altoghter.

I won't $@!&* here about Fender's cust service but I was disappointed and ended up going with a Dean preamp that's been great.

Not much help I know, but good luck. I'm a Ford guy too, would love to have my old Ranger back again.
