Many years back- I think it was in early 90's- I remember reading through
a Fender Frontline catalogue and there was a guitar that really caught my eye.
I cant remember the model, but the guitar was similar to a LesPaul model
and I have a feeling that it might have been a Rich Robinson model... I'm
just guessing. I just remember that it was a real looker. Anybody have an idea which guitar I'm writing about?

To my knowledge Fender never made a Les Paul (single cut) style guitar. If you are refering to a double cut guitar, then yes it could have been either Robin Ford or the Esprit (sp). Dual HB, 3x3 tuners, stop tail and TOM bridge, right?

Maybe it was some sort of a concept-guitar, that was never released.
I know that Rich Robinson plays custom- made guitars (not Fender)
that look quite similar to that particular model that I saw in Frontline magazine. I remember now that the picture in the magazine was not
a picture of a real guitar but a drawing of a model... so maybe it was
a concept. Don't know.

Fender certainly has made single cutaway guitars. I own a Squier LP-copy. Korean and gorgeous.
