Well hello everyone here on the Fender Forums. I just though i'd post some pictures of my Jazzmaster and invite all of you to do the same!

In these pictures I have my '94 MIJ Fender Jazzmaster. I swapped out the pickups for Seymour Duncan SJM-2 in the neck, and an SJM-3 in the bridge. The thing sounds AMAZING! It has an old Fender Mustang bridge and i'm going to replace the tuners for Sperzel locking tuners (In blue). I had put an "X" on the pickguard and a black trim piece on the body next to the pickguard. (My little good luck charms) and I also have my band's name in little stickers near the bottom. I also plan to swap out the pickguard for a black and white checkered one and it has white knobs that usually go on Les Pauls. I'm not entirely sure how to actually post the images on here... but here are the links.

Now to honor your request. Mine is a 2008 MIM Classic Player Jazzmaster Special. It can't compete with the cool factor of yours, but I like it.

Hi David,

Great guitar! I have a Jazzer that's very similar to yours. From the pics I've seen of your guitar, it appears to be a Q-Series CIJ Jazzmaster, also. They were imported into the U.S. in limited quantities earlier this decade. Your guitar is probably a 2002 and not an MIJ 1994, based on the serial number.

I was thinking of swapping out my p/u's for a pair of Duncan SJM-2's. How do you like them? I guess the -3 is a hotter version of the -2? Mine needs some work - a new setup, new strings, toggle switch is wonky, and tremolo has a minor problem.

Almost forgot. Here's mine. I added the aftermarket bridge cover.

Excellent condition!! Are you the original owner? Also, what is that unit sitting on top of the amp? Is that a Fender echo unit?

I am the original owner. I even keep the receipt. It has spent many years under my bed as I never did learn how to play. I took the original string off after I had it about 20 years. That is a Fender model 501 tape echo .

It looks like davidswigert has the skill to get those sounds out of his Jazzmaster and that is the way it should be. The Jazzy looks great David. I love the good luck X

My Classic Player Jazzmaster. The shot on the left is with the original tort pickguard. I replaced it with a red tort pickguard.

I like the red tort MUCH more than the brown... but I prefer flat colours. White. Black. I have a question though... would I have to make any major modification to my Jazzmaster if I were to put a bigsby system on it?

Thanks, I like the red better. It really pops now.

About the Bigsby.... I don't know how much work it would be, but I think you would need to fill in the void in the body of the guitar where the original tremolo was housed. I remember seeing something on another site where somebody did that. I can't remeber where it was, but if I can think of it I'll let you know.

I agree. It looks very slick now. I might have to look at some pickguards to dress mine up. Hmm.... 8)
