I was watching the review of the new Custom Deluxe Stratocaster and was wondering if I could install a 69' neck pickup, Reverse wound Hot Alnico middle pickup, and a Texas Special bridge pickup combination on my guitar without causing any problems. I have two TBX tone controls and one 250K volume pot on an Eric Johnson body with a Deluxe neck. Thank you.

Welcome.

Of course, you can. The only thing I'm questioning would be the phase of your unnamed, "Reverse wound Hot Alnico middle pickup" as it may not be the same as the two Fender pickups you've mentioned.

Thats good news. The Hot Alnico is another custom shop pickup that I looked in to. According to Fender, the reverse polarity of the middle pickup cancels the 60 cycle hum when used in conjunction with the super hot Texas Special which gives the mid/bridge combination a cleaner sound. The new custom deluxe sounds sweet. Thank you for the reply.

Then you should have no problems.

I didn't interpret your original statement as the Hot Alnico being the Fender one as SO many manufacturers use it as a rather generic reference.
