Hi everyone...
So...I've decided that for the December period that includes my birthday and Christmas i want to find a mustang to replace the Epiphone sg that i will hopefully have sold by then (my hands are just too small). Upon this revelation that this guitar is the one I want, I THEN found that the competition blue one is even MORE exactly what I want...thus the problems begin.

A couple months ago, I saw one go for $400 on ebay, and figured that must be a relatively regular occurance. Now I smack my head against the wall daily for not trying for it, as I rarely see any at all, especially not that low. SO...

A QUESTION AT LAST!

Am i doomed to either settling for a white or daphne blue one or paying 700+ dollars the one I want? Anyone have any experience with this kinda thing? Are the competition reissues reallyl that rare?

I would say your pretty much doomed as it is just too close to holidays. At this point, people wanting to get presents, either for themselves or others, are currently all over eBay looking for those specific guitars they want. The comp blue Mustang is arguably the most sought after Mustang out there, and you will be EXTREMELY hard pressed to find one for that super low $400 price tag again. I, for one, have NEVER seen one for under $700, and I check often as I had mine stolen and desperately want a replacement. I'm thinking I may have to shell out close to $1300 to get a blue comp Mustang w/ matching headstock shipped from Japan....

Either way, I'm not psychic, and, who knows, you may get lucky. But odds are definitely not in you favor, my friend. I do, however, wish you the best of luck in your hunt.

Curses...I was afraid of that. Thanks, though...I guess I'll just have to keep saving up my money.
