For me it's a close tie between Lee Ranaldo (for his creativity) + Nels Cline (for continuing to kill the myth that Jazzmasters are not good guitars for lead)

After last Saturday's Springsteen show, I gotta put Nils Lofgren up top. He played a Jazzmaster most of the night and tore it up. It is his go-to guitar for slide, which I strongly suggest y'all try-Great throaty sound.
