I am a fan of the Fender short scale guitar (Mustangs, Jaguars, Duo-Sonics, Jag-Stangs, etc.) I myself play a black 1990's Duo-Sonic and I was wondering what kinds of short scale models other people play. I also wanted to hear people's thoughts on a reissue of the Jag-Stang!

I'm not really one to suggest. I'm out of league with this because it's over my head, being 15 and a beginner at the guitar. I would love to learn how to play better than I do. I'm probably only intermediate at it. .

I've been a huge fan of guitars since I was a little kid. I do admit, I play one mean Air-Guitar  :D .

Well, good luck to you! If you come up with any thing that could be helpful to me, please, E-Mail me - not sure if you can though.

Did you ever see the episode of the Simpsons where Lisa decides she wants to play saxaphone and so Homer takes her to the music store and the guy tells her she'll never be a great sax player because her hands are too small? I think about that episode every time I hear about shortscale guitars. I've got the same sort of problem with having small hands and I have to say its a lot easier to play on a shortscale guitar than on a regular scale guitar.

I wanted to say something since you asked about the jagstang. I wouldn't mind having one of those. Or two or three maybe. Yeah, I don't know how hard they are to find on the second hand market. I'm sure if they reissued it people would buy them. I think its just a matter of time. Hopefully sooner than later.

The one-year reissue of the Jag-Stang for '04 made it possible for me to get a brand new Jag-Stang, a guitar that I have wanted since b4 I started playing and strangly enough, b4 I knew who Kurt Cobain was!! I had just gotten into rock and saw a pic of it and thought it was so out there and cool. Thank you Fender!!

shortscale.org has put together the most comprehensive wealth of info on shortscale guitars on the net. period. when you get to www.shortscale.org click on the WIKI section. it has TONS of info.

INFO THAT WE ALL WORKED HARD AT AND PUT TOGETHER FOR N00BS.

if ammassing a giant wealth of info all in one spot that A N00B can go and look at anytime he or she wants isn't treating them right then take away my rights to the internet right now.

#1 I PERSONALLY WORKED HARD ON THAT THING AND PUT ALOT OF HOURS INTO IT
#2 I PERSONALLY TAKE IT HARD WHEN I HEAR SOMEONE TELLING SOMEONE ELSE NOT TO GO THERE.
#3 WHAT DID YOU CONTRIBUTE? HOW MUCH TIME DID YOU PUT INTO THE SITE TO HELP N00BZ?
#4 OHH THATS RIGHT, ZERO

I've got a Jag-stang. I love it even though its got a small thin neck. Truly i prefer big fat necks, but when i saw this guitar in the shop i just couldn't let it go. Its got a nice thick body with big fat tone. I definitely reccomend this guitar. The sonic blue and fiesta red finishes are the few of the best finishes offered by fender.

I may not be a member there, but I have done a decent amount of lurking and I don't agree with you at all. Not only is it full of information all put together by it's users but it's also a pretty cool community. I don't think it's for you to say that it's not a good site and, even worse, say this on another forum.

That is a very untrue and ignorant thing to say. I've been to that site more than a few times and they are always polite and accurate in their responses to my questions. Maybe they were turned off because you type like a 14 year old girl without a job.

Git tae.
