I was looking up Nirvana concert footage and found that the 02-25-94 show was played pretty much all the way through w/ the Jag-Stang. Here's a video of Sappy:

And here's a high quality vid from 02-14-94 of Rape Me:

I'm wondering why Fender never used any pics of him playing the Jag-Stang when they were selling it?? You would think there would have been at least ONE ad, but they were usually ads that didn't show what guitar he was playing. Oh well, maybe if they reissue it (again...) they will make some nice pro ads w/ him playing it...

The Fender Frontline issued at the time with his interview has a picture of him playing a guitar but I think it was one of his modified Mustangs. I thought the "virtual reality" ad they ran was good and cheesy.

that would have been a real bad move on fender's part to use a picture of him in their ad's for a guitar that was released posthumously.

the only one he played live (sonic blue) was not to his liking and cut out in the video of them playing with pat smear in france on 'drain you.'

i don't think they should've released it.

And yet they did... Just not photos of him playing his Jag-Stang. The ones they used usually cut off so you could see a fret board, but not not the guitar body or headstock.

Danny Ferrington built a guitar for Kurdt in 93, it had heart inlays baby blue, mustang type body with a fixed bridge.
I have a pic of it in one of his books. pretty cool guitar.
