Has anyone ever put on or seen a Jaguar with a Bigsby B5 Vibrato on a it?

I have the Fender version of the B5 on a MIJ Telecaster and find it to be great.

Am considering filling in the hole left by removing the stock Fender tremolo and wondering what improvements, if any may be had by switching?

Thanks

If it's a for real AVRI '62 Jaguar, DON'T put a Bigsby in place of the stock tremolo! That would be about the fastest way to never sell the Jag, should the Bigsby swap not turn out like you wanted.

Decided to leave the AVRI '62 Jag body alone and have a body coming from Warmoth but without the tremolo pocket routed. I think it will start as a hardtail then I'll see about the Bigsby. I'm pretty certain I'll do it but can wait until the whole thing is mocked-up first.

The aftermarket project sounds like a great idea! It's best to go that way, rather than kill any potential resale value of the real Fender Jaguar. I've seen several examples of what one could call a "Jagcaster," being a Jaguar body and neck, but with Telecaster pickups, switching/controls and wiring...sans tremolo, usually. Myself; I'm planning my own "Jagcaster" in a different vain...Tele body and neck, Jaguar tremolo, pickups and wiring, hybrid Tele/Jag controls. I have seen a few partscaster Teles with a Jag/Jazz tremolo, but I figured it'd be good to try the best of both worlds in my own way.

One of these days, I'll get around to adding an AVRI '62 Jaguar to my collection...and a Mustang...and a Telecaster Deluxe...

Good luck with your "Jag" project! And try to enjoy the real Jag as much as you can. I have several Strats, a Bass VI (same trem. as a Jag) and a Peavey JF2 EX (with a Bigsby), so I'm not really averse to either system.

Actually the guitar will have most of the features I couldn't get together with the Custom Shop on:
Standard Jag pickup at the Bridge
Tele Neck Pickup in the Center
Off White Lace Holy Grail HG-1000 in the Neck Position

Modifying Standard Jag controls so each pickup can be on or off
Upper Bout Rollers to be volume for center and neck pickups
Tone Control to work on Jag Bridge Pickup Only

The body will be custom painted to match our 2004 Thunderbird.
Custom Mint Green Pickguard to match the green in the Thunderbird Logo.

I will certainly post some pics when completed
