I just bought a genuine Fender bridge cover for a Jazz/Jaguar. I replaced my Jaguars original bridge with a Mustang bridge some time ago. Was told the cover would fit on the Mustang bridge, but I can't get it to attach... it just places over it and falls off immediately Is the part defective possibly?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks!

Okay now first make sure that the bridge cover actually fits the jaguar. if it does, your in good shape. if it doesnt, then you need to find www.musiciansfriend.com or www.guitarcenter.com and search online.

Ok , in case anyone in interested...

To get the cover on, you need to take a pair of pliers and slightly crimp in the ends of the bridge cover. It takes a little bit of time and play, but eventually the angle will be good so it fits snug on the bridge. Got it installed perfectly on my mustang bridge and boy does it look sweet!!

I bought one for my Jazzmaster and it fits perfectly. I thought the same cover would fit the Mustang, the Jag, and the Jazzer.

This is a common issue with the Fender part.

My quick solution .............. place the lower part of the cover in a small vice between 2 thin pieces of wood (to protect the cover from being scratched) & tighten the vice in small stages until the cover grips the bridge.

Works every time!
