Has anyone tried installing humbuckers into their jazzmaster. I've found a couple online line that fit the jazzmaster without having to modify the body.

and here:

Has anyone tried these? What do they sound like? I've never been too happy with the buzz my stock 62 reissue jazzmaster pickups create. Are there any other aftermarket pickups one might recommend (single coil or hum cancelling)?

it should sound exactly like a humbucker should, the whole concept for the jazmaster was to play jazz, with the p90s to sound warm and well...jazzy if u put a humbucker in it check the dc resistance, and the resonance peak, definately the output level, but the jazzmaster is the same as the the jaguar but with the exception of the p90s and some switches to change the phasing
