Now imagine the larger M.I.M.-type pickguard on this...

IMO, it would make this Toronado look more like a Fender (Jag-like) and less like a Gibson.

Forrin - you wont be able to use the mim guard on the mia. they are very different from each other in regards to body size pickup placement etc. not to mention you would have to drill holes on that beautiful body if you did want to get a custom pickguard made. i like the short guard on the mia....maybe you can try a tortoiseshell one instead if you want a new look...that would go good with the butterscotch kind of like a TV yellow junior :wink:

Thanks for the input, trustee.

This is why i asked the question... I suspected it probably wouldn't be as simple as drilling a few holes and swapping out the pickguards.

Yah, I'd have a few reservations about turning my MIA model into something non-stock, but I thought I'd at least ask.
