How do you like your '56 Duo Sonic? Particularly, what do you think of the neck and pickups?

Thanks for your post.Actually,I just got this guitar.A friend of mine was selling it for the original owner and he asked me if I wanted to buy it.The neck has a soft V shape and feels really comfortable. The pickups have a wonderful sound that rich and complex.I think the pickups are probably similar to pickups that were on Strats except that the pole pieces on the Duo-Sonic pickups are milled flat to fit under the pickup covers and they are reverse wound so that when the pickup selector switch is put in the center position its like turning the two single coils into a humbucker.Pretty cool.

Thanks for the information and pictures. :D Your guitars are beautiful, and it's almost hard to believe that Duo-Sonic is fifty years old. It looks like it's in perfect condition! That gold pickguard is awesome. If I ever get a white guitar, it's going to have a pickguard like that. :)
