Post subject: HELP! SQUIER MACHINE HEADS

so i have this squire strat with whammy and it will not stay in tune no matter what, how can i solve this problem, i dont beat on my guitar and i dont really want to upgrade unless if i have to , what can be done to solve this tuning isssue

A couple quick things to check are the strings put on the tuners correctly. (http://hubpages.com/hub/How-to-String-a ... ric-Guitar)

Try lubricating your nut where the strings slide through it so they move more smoothly (pencil led [graphite] works good)

Make sure your string are seated in the trem' block correctly (bullet ends work best)

Yeah all that and also I put a little bit of 3 in 1 oil not only at the nut but in the saddles also and keep it floating at a certain angle till you find a sweet spot because if the angle isnt right it will not stay in tune no matter what...
