I've had one since Saturday and I love it. Leo Fender was a genius. Everything he intended this guitar to be, it truly is, in spite of what the Fenderology books tell you. Great surf tones. Great jazz tones. I love it. I am done buying guitars as I now have everything I need.

I want one very badly.

A very different Fender, but well made, great playing, and great sounding guitar.

I have a Classic Players Jazzmaster Special, and I just love it. The neck pickup is buttery smooth, and the bridge pickup screams. It offers a lot of great sound combinations. Plus it's super comfortable and good-looking too! 8)

I think it's a cool guitar. After I get my Deluxe Strat I'm going to get a Jazzmaster. 8)

Most people don't realize it, but the jazzmaster, apart from being THE $@!&, is actually a good jazz guitar. it was marketed to a completely different audience but it actually hass a perfect tone for jazz 8)

It has a very nice tone for jazz indeed. Plus it is a good electric for the solo performer who wants to "really" plug in. Believe it or not, Jazzmasters are killer for slide. Just ask Nils Lofgren. They are a fine utility guitar. I've just convinced myself to pull it out and play it!

I played one yesterday for the first time......ok, I need one. The P90's sound really good on a Blues Jr with some reverb thrown in.....yummy.

I have one of the limited edition '03 CIJ Jazzmasters in Lake Placid Blue (like my avatar). The bridge buzzes as virtually all of the original design Jazzmaster bridges do and the pickup switch has gotten wonky so it's been played a lot less these days. Still it is a wonderful guitar with great tones. I really like the 'lead' and 'rhythm' switching, too. It makes the guitar truly unique.

I'm going on friday to Sam Ash to trade my Gibson Les Paul Traditional Goldtop for a American Vintage Jazzmaster in Sunburst.

one thing you need to understand beforehand, is jazzm pup's are NOT p-90's. they're fender wide single coils. hardly p-90's.

Trade in update: sam ash didn't offer me enough for the Les Paul to make it worth my wild. So, I'll try to sell the Les Paul outright and save for a AVRI Jazzmaster. The Jazzmaster quest continues.
