I'm looking for a new guitar...My first was a Crate...cheap...and I've been playing a Fender Toronado for about 3 years now. But the constant beating it takes being on stage with me is taking it's toll on it, and I don't wanna harm it anymore. I want a guitar that can take fast strumming, punk rock, power chords. One that will take on a nice trebled-out sound, while still sounding edgy. I don't know what to try though. I don't even know if I want another Fender. I just want a good guitar for me. While I love Fenders, I don't know what I should get. Any suggestions for me?

what im hearing is you want a guitar that can go the distance. well dont let anyone hear me say this but try a Gibson Melody Maker. Power guitar good for punk to blues and easy on the wallet. just a thought, i had a 54 back in the day. i play bass primarly now. AS P bass. just something to think abouy. good luck

If you're after a stage beater, a Squier Jagmaster might be right up your alley. They play great, sound great, and are well built. Plus, it'll have a familiar vibe to that of your Tornonado. If you want something a bit different, I'd look at a fat strat possibly. You'd get a great axe and a variety of tones.
Dean also makes some great solid bodies. An Evo select, Hardtail, Vendetta, or Soltero would be worth checking out... if you're after that dual hb sound.

your requirements screa highway one at me...they get beaten up yet look cooler for it...they are built for the lifestyle you offer your guitars...However you could just buy one and get a hardcase too!

Fender made some Telecasters and Esquires with humbuckers within the past 5 years--a few models even had racing stripes. One of those might just fit your bill.

Anyone remember what those models were called?

What you say defines the definition of "Highway 1" so if you lead the lifestyle of playing in a concert, Strumming, playin' fast, I would recommend it. 8)
