And thankfully discontined it!

But you are correct, I was just voicing an opinion.

Honestly I think they're poor guitars also. Here in the US you can find an original mustang, probably not stock for 500ish. I think getting a vintage fender like that would be much cooler, and even more Cobainy. The pickups are going to be junk in the jagstang, and you could put whatever you wanted in a mustang.

Anyone who has one are they good? I'm a big nirvana fan, there my favourite band. Do they give off the grunge sound? Everyone I've talked to online says there crap, and kurt wouldv'e been ashamed. Are they?

Yes, they are terrible. Very weak sounding, uncomfortable and pretty ugly. I traded mine for a J5 triple tele.

I was never very fond of them. They always looked really ugly and...wrong.
I played one and thought that the sound was pretty generic. Comfortable neck, though.
I built a Jag-Stang recently from parts and it was actually one of the best sounding/feeling guitars that I've played. Of course, it wasn't stock.

No, it won't give you a grungy sound but Fender would like you to believe that. (Just as they're promoting the new Jag HHs as grunge guitars. )

They can promote them however they want, the new Jagg HH Special is one of the best guitars I have ever owned.

I believe it. I really like the looks of the red one. I just think that it's more than slightly idiotic for them to continue name-dropping Kurt Cobain to sell their products. I had a Jaguar HH Special and it could rest on its own merits. It played wonderfully and sounded great. It definitely didn't need a misguided/misguiding (and erroneous) little introduction about Cobain having humbuckers in his Jaguar. (And it certainly didn't need Musician's Friend to drop the "alt-rock/grunge" tag to sell it.)

Yeah, the dragsters sound great, and the all black Jag with the chrome looks so good.

Yeah, I had the black/chrome version (until I painted it red). The Dragsters were decent, I thought. Not my favorite 'buckers, for sure, but not bad. Those necks are worth every penny, too. Super-comfortable.
