I have an original Jazzmaster that I purchased in late 1958 shortly after it was introduced. The guitar and case are in pristine condition -- have not played it in years. I would appreciate some feedback regarding its value. The instrument holds some fond memories for me and I am not ready to part with it but would like some input about its value.

Good on you. Honey of a guitar.

'Saw a couple this past summer in metro Chicago for about $4 K if memory serves.

Check Gruhn Guitars.

I have a mid year 59 anodized pick guard, all original with original bill of sale and hang tags. I also have photos if it in the early years. It is a closet classic. I turned down $10,000 for mine about 10 years ago. I really don't know what the value would be in today's recessed market but I think one sold on the east cost for $14,000. Can you post photos?

First of all that is one smoking instrument!!!!!! It must sound like a million bucks. My Toronado is the closest I'll come to it right now. The 10k number was something I pulled out of my tailpipe. I was just kinda averaging things of the like. Like new Fenders from the late 50's have to be at least in the $10K ballpark. No?

I found a 57' telecaster that was in near perfect condition for 15k, this jazzmaster is easily worth that much
