Hi all you Fender experts.

I am attaching two photographs of a Fender Esprit that I used to own.

Can anyone give me any information on this guitar and specifically where I may be able to get another one?

HMMMMM Nice!
I like the Esprit, Flame and Robben Ford Models!
I think they are all part of the 'masterbuild' series and made in Japan..

Just keep on checking ebay, they are coming up every now and then

It's a beautiful guitar, but it's going to be difficult to buy a new one. Here is a site with more info on the various models.

http://www.masterseriesguitars.com/

Prices on these are/were out of sight! I hear prices on collectables are coming down a bit, but not many of these were made so you have to find one first.

evening folks, i hope you don't mind me reopening this old thread.

I've got one of these Fender Esprit Elites in Candy Red Burst, made in August 1984. It's been in its case under the bed for years to keep it away from my kids and I played it today for the first time in ages... it is fabulous.

Anyway, a couple of Esprit posts have mentioned them being difficult to get second-hand. I am planning on using mine as a part-exchange for a high-end telecaster, do any of you have an idea of what the value would be?

I have never seen another one in a shop or on ebay so I'd appreciate any thoughts you have. Even better if you have an idea based on UK values as I am in Edinburgh.

I like the look of those. I don't like that weird burst finish though.
The pups look interesting.

the manual provides some good info here http://www.fender.com/support/manuals/p ... n_1984.pdf the pickups give a rich tone with TBX controls making them quite flexible.

All I can say is good luck finding one. A REAL one that is. I don't see 'em on eBay very often. I'd love to get my hands on one.

must admit I've had the esprit since 1991 but it has probably been stored away for many of those years. All those years ago, I went to buy a strat, then almost bought an Ibanez version of a Gretsch White Falcon but walked out of the shop with the esprit.

Lucky me I got a fender US Custom Shop Robben Ford earlier this year on Ebay after a quest of several years.
Before I owned a MIJ one which sounded as good as that one.

My eBay page is set up to look for the Fender Esprit, but every time something registers it's usually the Squier version. I don't check it so much any more.

the one from the link posted above sold this afternoon on ebay UK for £1,171 ($1,650), which is about 25% more than I expected. This was a standard Esprit model.

I see that someone has now put a Fender Flame on with a But it Now price of £999 too.

alainlaFrance, that guitar you've posted a photo is beautiful, absolutely beautiful.
