Oh, man. 'Think this is a contender for the Twilight Zone of guitars.

A Casio DG-20, 1987-vintage synth-guitar.
* Goofy irregular polygon shape
* Plastic body
* Plastic neck
* Rubber-ish fingerboard with molded-in frets
* All strings were "B" nylon
* No tuners (all electronic)
* Built-in drum machine
* Built-in speaker
* About 20 sounds, including Trumpet and organ and electric guitar

Traded it in, 1999, on a Roland GK guitar-synth.

Interesting experience.

Hello BastardN,

Here's my first and goofy guitar
Got it for Christmas back in the early 60's
It's really not even an instrument as the
body is made of cardboard----
But it started it all for me.

Cheers.

My Gibson Slide guitar. I don't even know the model name. It's made out of some composite, like a Danelectro. I don't really play slide, but the fact that this thing is old made me "invest".

Plus, I think I was drunk when i got it.

The oddest guitar I've ever owned?
No question--it's this one-
Image

A friend of mine made this, and later when he was going to throw it away, I rescued it.

It has a plywood top--about an inch thick--same for the back. The sides are paneling that was nailed on. Teh neck is a shaved 2 x 4. It has no nut. Originally the strings were held on by screws, but when the last one broke I added the machine head, and was thinking of adding another one, but I like it as a single string bass. It's actually a lot of fun to play.

Wandre/DaVoli 'Spazial'. Italian-made, bowl-shaped body, neck made from half-round aluminum tube. Bridge, pickups, pickguard and all attached to the tube running full length of body. Plastic back of neck. Markers (each one different) inlayed in different primary colors. Body bolted to back of full-length neck tube. No two body finishes alike. Played like a truck, sounded like a transistor radio. Absolutely the oddest mass-produced guitar I've ever seen. I traded two large pizzas to get it (sold it long ago) and they now sell for over three thousand dollars. Images can be seen via links on fetishguitars.com.[/img]

I would say my 1994 Fender Stratocaster
It was made in Japan
It has a 18.5 inch scale.
This is NOT a Squire Mini
