I tend to agree -- some of the Cor-Tek Showmasters are great.

Here's a photo spread of one of my Showmasters, done by noted guitar photographer, Mark Wong: http://photoweborama.com/guitars/showmaster

Four pages of thumbs...

Sweet looking guitar I must say!

Mark makes any axe look beautiful. He has quite a few of mine on his site:

One of his shots of my factory Fender Nashville B-Bender took second place in Cal Expo's photo competition.

I will vote for the "original" Starcaster.

I would agree.....but not just the "Original" Starcasters, all of the Starcasters are underrated. I have a 3 year old Starcaster and I just bought an 07' model for my daughter. These are great guitars for beginners to start out on and they perform great when set up properly.
Sure, Clapton would not play one......but I'm sure he could make it sound better than anything I could play on it!

My guess is Clapton could make better music than me if we handed him a pool cue with two rusty strings and a pickup mounted on it......

That's Fender's strongest play, IMO, is to make guitars for all price ranges and abilities that have great features.

Same thing with the Montara, a nice arched back body for great sound with a strat neck for easy playability, and they only made that for 3 years or so?

I have a Montara but good luck getting info on them.....

The Cyclone II is definately underrated. I got one new a few days ago and it feels great and sounds awesome. I don't know why they discontinued them. They are such a great guitar. Mine looks exactly like the one in my pic over there.

Here's a photo of my under-rated-can't-live-without-them Fenders.

The acoustic bass is a copy, it's an AXL with the same specs as the Fender BG-29, that is my next hope is to upgrade that one so it's Fender across the board.

I love your guitars and basses. I've always wanted to get an electric bass and learn a few things on it.

Thanx, been playing bass for about 16 years. Just started on 6 string two years ago or so.
