1963 movie "Bye Bye Birdie", with Dick Van Dyke, has the Conrad Birdie character playing a custom gold Fender Jaguar.

Does anyone know whatever happened to that guitar?

That was a very cool Jaguar! I saw it on the wall of the Hard Rock Cafe in Dallas about 12 years ago. The Dallas Hard Rock has since closed and I don't know what happened to it. I've tried to find photos of it on the internet, but nothing showed up.

Cool guitar,if it isn't currently in a Hard Rock Cafe it would be most likely be in their storage facilty and headquaters in Orlando Fla. it may even be on their website : memorabilia.hardrock.com interesting site anyway.

I think there were a few made but i am in possession of one we called to authenticate with fender.

It was given to a family friend for an art gallery after it closed it was given to her.

I saw the Conrad Burdie Jazzmaster/Jag ?? in a movie recently and have been researching this gaudy beauty... where is it now? I smell a new genre of Fender guitars... The Fender Movie guitars!
