In my mind, the original Cyclone (with the humbucker bridge, and single coil neck) was a greatly underrated guitar. Bring back the Cyclone!

Yeah, the HH didn't last long for some reason.

Why not just get a squier dou-sonic, and route the bridge out for a hum bucker?

Well, the Cyclone has a trem system and a 27.75 scale neck. But I would love one of those new duo sonics.

Actually, I'm in the middle of building a duo sonic-ish guitar with a humbucker and a P90.

Thanks!
I paid only a couple hundred for her originally.
I replaced the pups with a Tex Mex in the neck and an Atomic II in the bridge. The badge is from a 1967 Mercury Cyclone.
I really wish they would keep issuing the vintage style guitars.
They are affordable and a hell of a lot of fun to play.

They need to bring back the Cyclone, and the Vista series.
I picked up a Super-sonic too for nothing.

Yeah thats the same style.
The Cyclones came with all of that sweet vintage mojo!
I am thinking about picking up a Duo Sonic soon, Even though it's a Squire I will jam a bunch of American Fender pupd and hardware in to her.

The Cyclone is a great guitar and I love playing mine, but if they started manufacuring them again I dont think they would apeal to me as much because I like the "rarity" of them.

I always wanted a black one, but now I'd settle for anything. I think they screwed it up when they made the Cyclone II. I hated those ones.
