When I was young, my grandfather played an old Fender guitar. The guitar is long gone, but I am trying to identify which one it is so I can try to buy one for sentimental reasons. I've seen a lot of guitars, but none were right. Does anyone know of a website anywhere that has a photographic history of Fender guitars on it? I can't do much to describe it anymore, but I know that if I see it, I'll recognize it INSTANTLY - that's how my memory of events and things from my youth works.

Here's a site that might help-
http://www.vintageguitars.org.uk/fenderIndex.php

There are some books you could flip through--check a library or bookstore-

If you can't find what you need on line you might check a book called "50 Years of Fender." It has photos of many different styles of Fender guitars in it.

Thanks so much for the information. I'll have to take some time and do some searching. I appreciate the help!

Again the problem with the stupid "Invalid Session. Please resubmit the form" message. Is anyone else getting this 5-20 times before the system finally allows their responses to post?

That was one of my links--a helpful resource full of eye candy.
