I have a Fender Jaguar HH Special. It's a beautiful guitar and it sounds amazing. I play alot of Metal and Hard Rock and im surprised by the sound that comes out. It took some getting used to with all those switches, but like everything else, over time its natural.

The downside i have with the guitar is re stringing it. I actually had to go to a guitar shop and show me how to restring, since the jaguar doesn't have a hole in the middle but rather on top.

I put 11's on mine, it made it sound way better, and it feels better too. It just seems like going up 2 sizes on the short scale is going up 1. Playing the Jag with 11 feels like playing my Tele with 10's.....but 12 sounds brute, tell me how that works out.

OK, 12's might be a little too much. I have small hands to begin with, which is one reason I bought the Jaguar, so i think I bit off a little too much with the 12's.

It feels a little bit stiff to me at standard tuning, maybe at a 1/2 step down it would be comfortable.

Just my experience, thought I'd throw it out there.

i may go 12's dunno, i do have slightly bigger hands and can play with ease, i thought about 11's..i want a metal sound, which a jaguar isnt very ideal for, which is why i went with an esp. but the jaguar is a beautiful fit and its very comfy when playing.

:D Bought my HH in January and LOVE it. I had a problem however with a severly bowed neck and could not get rid of a fret buzz at the ninth fret. Just got the word from Fender that they are going to replace my Jaguar with a new one. Seems the necks are at least 4-6 weeks back order. Other the the neck problem the guitar is great. I've been without it now for about a week and look forward to my new beauty. Hope I can get the action a bit lower than the original one.

Its a nice guitar but it doesn't sound like the classic jaguar sound. still sounds good.

Just picked the Jaguar HH Special up at the local Guitar Center as an impulse buy. My only other electric guitar up to this point is a Gretsch 5120 I've been playing for about a year. I was a bit worried about the Jaguar at first ... I had a hard time getting used to the shorter scale and smaller fretboard. It also took some tweaking to finally coax some very unique sounds which I like very much. By the end of the weekend, I was able to call the "honeymoon" a success and this black beauty of a guitar now hangs side-by-side with the Gretsch. I guess I'm a Fender man now.
