Hello there fellow musicians!

This would be my first post on these forums, So
I think this a good way to start out my fender forum
career =)

I ordered and fully paid for the American Vintage
'62 RI Jazzmaster in early July.. The ship date then
was end of July (30th/31st)

After a month, I dropped another payment off and
it was bumped to mid August... now its at early September.

My question is simple really, Has anyone else ordered
and/or waiting for a July '07 Jazzmaster/Jag to come?
And maybe a possible time of arrival?

Thanks guys!

No Sir, Im in Arizona =)

I had ordered locally, but to no avail.. It's not in my
hands yet.. My patience is like that of a saint!

It's a '62 RI jazzmaster Surf green/Mint pick

Again, just wondering if anyone knew anything around here.

Thanks!

Sorry for the delay.. Im getting used to the forums
being closed at certain hours, haha.

Thanks Stephen for the input! What color did
you end up going with on your Jazzmaster?

I think that is why my wait is a tad longer
because I would only take a American Surf
green Jazzmaster.

I went through Guitar Center and they too said it
was on back order.. But, it shouldnt have taken this
long!

Either way, it should be here any day now & as
soon as I get it, ill post up some pics of one of
the sexiest guitars ever put into production =)

And Surf green makes me tingle!

I paid like $34 more for the vintage Sunburst, tho I do love surf green. Mine was back ordered but I got it within the same month of ordering it.

-Im currently having the saddles replaced at a local shop cuz the threaded saddles they come with in my opinion are crap. Also a wedge underneith the neck. That will fix the Jazz for good. They need some fixin but their still the best guitar.

Thanks for more info

I was going to go Black/Rosewood .. but, I see them all too
often. The Surf Green is just impressive looking all on its own!
Then, make great tones with it and make people smile hah

I made the right choice.

How much did the mods cost you? and.. Who would you trust
with your brand new, scratch-free guitar? lol

the mods he's having done don't take any special skill. all you need is a screwdriver.

Yeah, he's right. Unless you're really cramped on time and just wanna get it done I really see no reason why you can't just do them yourself. Both the mods are very simple and if you want, I (or even someone else on the forums) would be happy to help you figure it out.

Thanks guys for the support.

As soon as the guitar arrives, I will decide
what step to take to make it gig-worthy.

and what I meant by who do you trust is..

Well, Id be afraid of a "clumsy" dude accidently
putting a scratch, mark or ding in my thousand
dollar guitar ;)

ill probably do it myself

Guitar Center said the Jazzmaster should be here at the
end of this week.. Please lord, give me the strength to make
it another 98hours!

I have people to serenade! well, not right away..

Call me greedy! all to myself first!
