And that is the right way around guys.

Did you order that from Japan, or was that color available in the US? It looks great BTW.
EDIT: Posted that right before you added your location. Is Fender Japan stuff pretty common in Scotland?

The colour is Vintage White I believe, quite a few of the Fender Japan guitars come in that colour. I bought it from a UK importer of Fender Japan guitars, I think they are still a bit easier to get hold of here compared to the US since the restrictions started.

It is a 69 RI, I'm not even sure if any of the 65 reissues were made lefty but I sure love Fender Japan for this guitar. I actually bought a lefty Tele Custom as well. Until Fender USA changes it's tune I'll probably never buy a Fender from the US.

Yup, so far I have been extremely impressed by the Fenders coming out of Japan. The craftsmanship on my 65 reissue puts my Gibson to shame. My only complaint is that there are only a few CIJ models for sale in the US :(

I think these days there is no place for the CIJ lineup in Fender USA's portfolio. You've got the up market Mexicans like the Baja and then the Highways, any place the Japanese models would creep in is already filled.

Unless Fender USA wanted to do Jazzmasters or Jaguars that weren't AVRI I don't see it happening. Which is a shame, because Fender Japan is very kind to lefties like me.

Horwitz, that is an original 1964 with a Tele Widerange Humbucker in it. I didn't install that. I bought it that way. It sounds awesome!
