Man, I'd sell both my Strat and Tele if i could have a Coronado. Especially one in as great condition as yours. I wish Fender would reissue the Conrado, that would be awesome!!

What's the point of a double neck that's only variation is a hard tail bridge? Do you have one neck tuned differently than the other? Does one have ceramic p/up's while the other has vintage alnico? I'm not bagging on it, its beautiful, I'm just wondering how you put it to practical use w/o it becoming just a conversation piece.

Hey "kid w/ a Jag-stang," you asked

> What's the point of a double neck that's only variation is a hard tail

Yes, I do. The hard-tail is tuned to DGDGBE and often capoed at the 4th fret.

> Does one have ceramic p/up's while the other has vintage alnico?

Both sets of pickups are vintage alnico. The right/bottom neck are staggered pole piece pups from about 1972. The left/top neck has unstaggered mid-'70s pups (two Fenders, one DiMarzio Fat Strat). So the tones are a bit different, the hard-tail/tremolo makes the biggest tonal difference.

> ... it becoming just a conversation piece.

Nothing can stop it from being a conversation piece. There aren't that many of these around.

Its older than I am...probably dates back to the 1930s due to the fact that it went through WWII with my grandpa. (Which also being said, its not in the greatest condition ever.)

Just kind of a guess. Feel free to disagree with me because I'm probably way wrong. I just know it went through WWII with my grandfather.

So you don't know what that guitar is?

Does it say "Chet Atkins" on the pickguard?
"Country Gentleman" ??

The first of those were produced in the mid-'50s.

If you surf around a bit, you might find some history and be able to date it more accurately.

Its not a Country Gentleman, the pickguard reads "Chet Atkins Tennessean." (And the back of the headstock says "MADE IN USA" if that provides any extra info).

EDIT: Now that I've done a tad bit of research, it was probably made around the 1948-1975 time period (probably in the 40s or 50s however).
