I find I really like the shorter neck on the Jag but I find myself really liking the scalloped, matte finished back, neck I have on a 2002 MIM Strat.

My main issues or questions are:

I have a MIM strat with a maple fretboard and it seems to be "hotter - brighter" than the rosewood. I am wondering if anyone has an ebony faced board or has played one enough to determine if the brighness is better than a maple one.

I am thinking of using the dunlop 6100 fretwire as it is higher and may give me more of the scalloped feel that I have on the Strat - at least that's what the Warmoth website indicates.

I'm not looking for speed but more for comfort.

I also Prefer using half round strings from D'Addario, in size 10's if that works into the equasion.

Your input and opionions as always, are appreciated.

Rick
