It gives me great pleasure to post this beauty. Many of you have given me great advice on the wiring among other things and I thank all of you. Once again Gino"The Butcher" Nardo ( this guy is a wild man...) of Custom Paint and detail here in Cleveland has gone out of his way. He matched the paint of of the old Gulf racing scheme,. And Gino went all out on the acrylic and routing. Ths guy does awesome work.
The pickups are Atomic II in the bridge ( this pickup sounds great I will have to get some more of these for my next set of projects) and a Tex-Mex in the neck. New chrome oval tuners, custom paint , a 1968 mercury Cyclone mounted in acrylic flush with the body. I put her back together tuned her up and she sounds unbelievable.

i don't mean to be a dick, but...

i love the colors, and i appreciate the enthusiasm, but you really butchered that beautiful guitar. it looks really clean, but those guitars are hard to find, and you just took one more out of the pool.

again, not to burst your bubble, i thought it would be a little more subtle when you first started talking about it.

:D I can respect your opinion, but it's honestly just a Squier Cyclone.
I paid $99.99 for it out of Sweetwater.com, it was a demo model and was pretty scratched/dented up to begin with. She wasn't a perfect specimen to start. I sunk $300 into her as a project. I would agree with you 100% If say I did that to a vintage Fender or a really rare guitar. I have a Vista Series Supersonic that is functional but pretty beat up, I have done nothing to for that very fact. No bubble bursting, no regret , I did it because I could.

I was gonna say, "lighten up, Francis, it's a Squier," but someone beat me to it!
