The Starcaster is a great beginner guitar. For the price, it plays well, sounds good and is well made.

I own several Stratocasters, an old school Jaguar and an old school Mustang. My son owns a Starcaster with a humbucking pickup in the brige position. I enjoy goofing off with his guitar from time to time.

I would recommend the Starcaster as a beginner guitar or to someone with limited funds.

Regards,

Dan

There are two guitars with the starcaster name. The original starcaster from the late 70's was a hollow body guitar that has been discontinued and is hard to find. The new one, officially "Starcaster by Fender" is an inexpensive Stratocaster starter model available at Target, Costco, Best Buy, etc.

Which one are you referring to.

Dude i have a hollow body!
