I have been an avid Fender fan for years and years, but I have never picked up an electric guitar!!!! And now I'm considering buying one after years of my skills at guitar but dont know which one is best for me. Please Help!!!
I enjoy all sorts of music incuding jazz, blues, classic 70s and 80s rock, Country, fast hand, slow hand, the thing wwere you bend the strings alot, and many other non listable catagories. My favorite bands/ players are Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Van Halen, B. B. King, Michael Buble, Billy ray cyrus, the beatles, david cook, J Mascis, Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

I chose the following list of guitars because of their sound and affordibility, as well as their blending with my style of music.

Special Edition Jaguar® HH

Standard Strat® HSS
Rosewood Fretboard, Electron Blue

American Standard Stratocaster® HSS
Rosewood Fretboard, 3-Color Sunburst

American Vintage ’62 Jaguar®
Rosewood Fretboard, Ice Blue Metallic

Best advice I can give you is to go out and try as many guitars in your price range as you can. Find the one that looks, feels, and plays the way you like.

Go for the Standard Strat HSS in Electron Blue. The MIM Strats are some of the most underrated guitars ever made and are the best for $400.00.

Dude I just bought a Jag HH and that baby rips.....Like rips rips......Thats what i would go with, the 62 is cool, i just liked the HH special over the 62. I have a MIM Tele and i love her.....That was probably the best guitar i owned.
